A fortnightly LGBTQIA+ climbing meetup offering a safe, supportive and joyful space for queer community members to connect and climb together.
Queer Cuties Climb is back at Crux Climbing Center (Central) tonight, Tuesday, July 28, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's Crux's LGBTQIA+ climbing meetup, a social bouldering group that runs on a fortnightly basis at the gym's central location. If you've been looking for a way to get into climbing without having to go it alone, this is a good place to start.
The group describes itself as a safe, supportive, and joyful space for queer community members to mingle and meet one another. The focus is as much on the social side as it is on the climbing, so it's more of a meetup than a formal class. You'll find people hanging out between climbs, chatting and getting to know each other, which makes it a lot easier to find a regular climbing partner if that's what you're after.
One of the best parts is that all climbing abilities are welcome. You don't need to be a pro or even have climbed before to show up. Whether you're a total beginner who's never touched a bouldering wall or someone who's been climbing for years, you'll fit in. The whole point is to bring together queer community members from across the city, so you're likely to meet people at all different levels.

Because it runs every other Tuesday, it's easy to build into a routine. If you miss this one, there'll be another session a couple of weeks later. You can find it at Crux Climbing Center (Central), 6015 Dillard Cir. #B, in Austin Midtown, from 7 PM to 9 PM.
