The Paramount Theatre presents Gosling in IMAX: Project Hail Mary

Ryan Gosling is back on the big screen in Austin, this time at the Bullock Texas State History Museum IMAX Theatre, where Project Hail Mary returns for one final encore on Monday, October 12. It's a 156-minute IMAX screening, and the museum is billing it as the blockbuster's return for the biggest screen in Texas.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film stars Gosling alongside Sandra Hüller, James Ortiz, and Lionel Boyce. The story follows Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As his memory slowly returns, he uncovers his mission: to solve the riddle of a mysterious substance causing the sun to die out and to save Earth from extinction, aided by an unexpected friendship. It's a high-stakes premise that takes place almost entirely in the deep reaches of space, and the IMAX format is built for that kind of scale.
