Early Era Collective brings Present Perspective Project to the Dougherty Arts Center starting Thursday, September 3, with performances running through Saturday, September 5. It's an evening-length dance show, part of the company's eighth season, and it's built around two overlapping works that move from the past toward the present.
On stage, the production blends post-modern dance with street style, and the two pieces it's made of don't just sit side by side—they overlap. The narrative they weave is about living, witnessing, and actively participating in the human experience, and it brings together the choreographic perspectives of two long-time Early Era artists, Daniel Broxton and Jairus Carr. Both are credited with the choreography and direction, and the show features Moving Alchemists.

Early Era Collective is part of the Artist Access Program through the City of Austin's Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment Department, and this production is supported in part by that office.
