Inclusive community event with story time, crafts and a bilingual music and movement session for families.
Playdate in the Park comes to Great Hills Neighborhood Park on Wednesday, October 21, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. It's part of a series of inclusive community events designed for families with young children, so it's a morning you can do with your kids in tow.
The session mixes a few different things into one morning. It starts with story time and crafts, and then moves into a bilingual "Move and Groove" session led by Creative Action. That second half is the active part—music and movement that gets the kids up and moving rather than sitting and listening.
Creative Action runs the music and movement hour, and they describe the whole thing as being built to inspire creativity, encourage physical and emotional development, and support the bond between parents and their children. The bilingual element means the session works in both English and Spanish, so it's open to families regardless of which language they speak at home.
