A social event where classic bingo meets houseplants, with five rounds of bingo and plant prizes for winners and guests.
Green Gathering Club is bringing Plant Bingo to Hops & Thyme on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. It's a social night in Austin that does exactly what the name says: classic bingo, but with houseplants as the prizes. If you've never played, it's pretty straightforward, and you don't need any plant knowledge or bingo experience to jump in.
The night runs through five rounds of bingo. The winner of each round takes home a premium plant, so there are five big prizes up for grabs over the hour. And here's the part that makes it easy to go even if you're not a regular: every guest who doesn't win a round still leaves with a complimentary plant at the end. Between the round winners and the consolation plants, everyone walks away with something green.
It's set up as a relaxed, welcoming community atmosphere rather than a high-stakes competition, so it works as a low-key mid-week outing. Food and drinks are available to buy separately, and there's a $5 burger offer running throughout the evening, which is a nice thing to have on the table while you're marking your card.

Tickets are $20, and registration is open now. If you're bringing a group, there's a bit of a break: a two-ticket bundle cuts 5% off, and a three-ticket bundle takes off 10%.
