Family-friendly concert and party with Los Alcos and DJ Mahealani; 100% of ticket sales go to PEAS.
Los Alcos are playing The Far Out Lounge & Stage on Sunday, November 8, for the PEAS 15th Anniversary Family Party. They're the main draw of the afternoon, joined by DJ Mahealani, and the whole thing is billed as a family-friendly concert and party. It runs from 3 PM to 6 PM, so it's a daytime affair rather than a late-night one.
PEAS is an Austin nonprofit that works to connect people with the natural world through outdoor learning and edible education. It started back in 2011 as a school and community farm project and has grown from there, reaching more than 30,000 students and thousands of adult participants. They partner with schools to bring their programming into school gardens, outdoor classrooms, and pop-up kitchens, so the work happens where kids already are. This party marks fifteen years of that.
The event is presented by Interplanetary Help Desk, an Austin 501(c)(3) that produces fundraiser concerts for other nonprofit and educational organizations. They handle the production, and the local causes they work with get 100% of the ticket sales. In 2026 alone, they've put on six live concerts and six album parties, raising money for 24 Austin nonprofits. For this one, every ticket sold goes to PEAS.
