Professional Bull Riders: Teams event at Moody Center, where riders compete in a team format against bucking bulls.
PBR: Teams is coming to the Moody Center this weekend, August 21 through 23, for a three-day run of professional bull riding. It's a team competition, so the format is a bit different from the usual PBR event: riders team up to face off against bucking bulls, and the goal is to see which team comes out on top. The Austin stop is presented by Tecovas.
If you've never seen a PBR event, the basic idea is that riders get points for how long they can stay on a bull, and in this team format, those points add up for the whole squad. It's as much about the team standing as it is about the individual rides. The bulls are the other half of the equation—they're bred for this, and they're every bit as much a part of the draw as the riders are.
