Weekly painting session for dogs and their owners at Thicket Food Park, with all supplies included.
Paint Your Pup! is a weekly painting session at Thicket Food Park, running every Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM. The premise is exactly what it sounds like: you spend a couple of hours painting your dog. It's a guided class, so you don't need to be an artist to get something you're happy with on the canvas.
One of the best things about it is that you don't have to bring a thing. Each ticket covers your canvas and easel, the paint, the brushes, and all the other supplies you'll need. There's also a guide to lead the way, so if you're not sure where to start, you've got someone to walk you through it. You just show up and paint.
Thicket Food Park is a good spot for this kind of thing. It's a thickly wooded, multi-use outdoor community space built around a line-up of food trucks, with community gardens and more coming soon. The venue is b.y.o.b., kid-friendly, and dog-friendly, which fits the theme perfectly. They even have a dog photo booth on site, so you can snap a picture of your pup before you start painting them.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Austin and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

And since it's a food park, you've got more than ten food truck options to choose from right there. You can grab a bite and a drink and make a whole evening of it. Tickets are $12, and the session runs from 6 PM to 8 PM every Thursday at 7800 South 1st Street.
