Stroud was born in Austin and raised in Leander, and he spent some time in Nashville before returning to south central Texas. He's known for witty, tender storytelling, and he works across both piano and guitar. He's released three albums so far: If There Are Other Places in 2019, The Handwriting Was Mine in 2023, and his most recent, The Best Use Of Our Time, in 2025. With three records behind him, there's a fair amount of material to draw from for a single set.
