Olivia Dean plays the Moody Center on Friday, August 28. She's coming to Austin on the back of her second album, The Art Of Loving, which she produced with Zach Nahome. It follows her debut, Messy, a record that earned widespread critical acclaim and carved out her place across neo-soul and pop.

There's a bit of a run behind her leading up to this. She became the first British female since Adele to land three UK top 10 singles, and her track "Man I Need" became the highest-charting song from a UK act on Spotify's Global Charts this year, following "Nice To Each Other" and "Lady Lady." She's a GRAMMY winner, a multi-BRIT award winner, and a Mercury Prize nominee, so she's arriving with a fair amount of momentum.

She's spoken about the new album as a project about the work that goes into love. "I don't think love is just magic that happens to you," she said. "I think you've got to put the time in, it's a craft, it's like playing an instrument or any other skill... I'm a romantic, hopelessly, hopelessly."

That's the record she'll be touring—The Art Of Loving—and the show is her only Austin date on the tour. It's on Friday, August 28, at the Moody Center.
