Oktoberfest Weekend 2026

St. Elmo Brewing Company is hosting its Oktoberfest celebration from Friday, September 25, through Sunday, September 27, with the main action centered at their Springdale location. It's a three-day run of German beer, food trucks, and live music, and it's part of a wider Oktoberfest weekend that spreads across South, East, and Downtown Austin. If you're in the mood for it, dirndls and lederhosen are welcome, and both St. Elmo and Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden—which runs its own three-day Oktoberfest on Rainey Street—are pet- and family-friendly.

Friday kicks things off with a German Happy Hour that runs all day, with $10 steins of beer. Saturday is the biggest day, split between the two St. Elmo locations. At the Springdale spot, there's a Kids Stein Hoisting Contest at 3 PM, Mackenzie's Good Time Polka Band from 4 PM to 7 PM, and an Adult Stein Hoisting Contest at 6 PM. Over at the South location, Feliza's Bakery pops up from 12 PM to 6 PM, Cinful Sweets from 2 PM to 8 PM, another Kids Stein Hoisting Contest at 3 PM, and the Tubameisters playing from 3 PM to 7 PM, with the Adult Stein Hoisting Contest following at 6 PM. Sunday winds down at the South location with a Paint Your Own Stein session led by Cafe Monet from 12 PM to 2 PM.

Food comes from outside vendors rather than an in-house kitchen, with Spicy Boys, Pueblo Viejo, and Patty Palace on hand. That's a different setup than Banger's, which runs its own kitchen of sausages, schnitzels, and pretzels. Saturday's high is forecast near 95°F, so the evening sets are cooler than the noon-to-3 PM window.

Admission is free. Friday's German Happy Hour features $10 steins, and Sunday's Paint Your Own Stein session is $10, which includes one drink ticket. The celebration runs from 11 AM to 3 PM each day at St. Elmo Brewing Company, 8110 Springdale Road, Austin, TX 78724.
