An exhibition of new mixed-media work by artist Leah Shirley, exploring themes of grief, memory, and connection in response to the AIDS Memorial Quilt.
Observers of Beautiful Forms is a solo exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Leah Shirley. The collection features new mixed-media works, including sculpture and mosaic, created in direct response to the AIDS Memorial Quilt Exhibition held at First Austin in 2025. The artist views this show as a collaborative dialogue with her late uncle, David McLemore, whose quilt panel was featured in the previous exhibition. The work is on display in the 4th Floor Gallery at the Trinity Street Playhouse.
