Nate Miller performs with special guest The Lockhearts at Stubb's in Austin.
Nate Miller plays Stubb's on Friday, September 4, with The Lockhearts opening. It's an all-ages bill, so it's a night you can bring the kids along for if that's your speed.
Miller is a Houston-raised songwriter who grew up on country and Americana, and he's not shy about where he gets his cues. He cites David Ramirez, Jason Isbell, and John Mayer as influences, and you can hear those names pulling him in different directions: the grit of the Americana side, the songwriting of the country side, and a bit of that polished pop-rock sensibility. He's spent time opening for Rob Baird, Robert Earl Keen, and Cory Morrow, and his live show sits right at the crossroads of rock, country, and alternative country. It's the kind of set that doesn't stay in one lane for long, leaning into the rock side as much as the country.
