Cap City Comedy Club presents Nate Jackson

Nate Jackson is headlining Cap City Comedy Club on Wednesday, October 14. He's a stand-up comedian who's spent a good chunk of his career on the Hollywood club circuit, and this is one of his stops in Austin.

If you recognize the name but can't quite place the face, it might be from Wild 'N Out on MTV, where he was a cast member. From there, he's worked as a writer and producer, so he's as comfortable behind the scenes as he is on stage. His credits run through a fair bit of the comedy landscape: he's appeared on HBO's All Def Comedy, Kevin Hart's Hart of the City on Comedy Central, and Off The Chain on Bounce TV. He's also been on BET's Comic View and Laff Tracks on TruTV.

That's a lot of different rooms—from the improvisational chaos of Wild 'N Out to the showcase formats of Comic View and All Def—and it gives you a sense of where he's been. Between the writing and the performing, he's built a career around the club circuit, and this is a straight-ahead stand-up set. The show is presented by Cap City Comedy Club, and Jackson is the main feature of the night.

The club is located at 11506 Century Oaks Terrace, Unit 100, in Building B, in the North Austin area. It's a dedicated comedy spot, so you'll find the usual setup: a small stage, a mic, and a room full of people waiting for the next punchline. If you're in the neighborhood on Wednesday, it's a straightforward way to spend an evening.
