Mystery Bigfoot Movie

We Luv Video is hosting another Mystery Bigfoot Movie on Saturday, September 5, as part of a series presented by Pulsing Cinema. The title is kept under wraps, but the movie is a staff pick from the film maniacs at Pulsing Cinema, who describe it as a "super-secret, super-special 1980s VHS staple." It's not the most famous Bigfoot movie ever made, but they say it shares "suspiciously familiar cryptid filmmaking DNA" with it.

From the description, you can get a good sense of the vibe. It's a 1980s creature feature set in the swamp, and the plot revolves around a "gloriously colorful Bigfoot capture squad" on the hunt. The supporting cast includes rednecks, moonshine, airboats, and biplanes—classic low-budget wilderness tropes. There's one catch, though: the organizers warn that you won't see much of Bigfoot himself. The draw is less about the monster and more about the people chasing it.

We Luv Video bills itself as "the best little microcinema in Texas," a big-screen venue for small crowds that also offers the space for private rentals. The screening is part of Pulsing Cinema's Mystery Bigfoot Movie series, so if you're into the deep cuts of the VHS era, this is right in that wheelhouse.

The screening runs from 7 PM to 10 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $5.00. The venue is at 100 North Loop Boulevard East in Austin.
