Free live music series on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail with a new local musician each Wednesday.
Music on the Trail is back on the Rainey Street Trailhead lawn this fall, with a new local musician taking the stage every Wednesday from September 9 through October 14. It's a free live music series on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, and the lineup runs for six weeks straight.
Jennifer Foster & the Audacity kick things off on September 9. After that, LeTrainiump plays September 16, RENU takes over September 23, and Grace Rowland follows on September 30. The series carries into October, with Stephanie Bergara on October 7 and The Animeros closing it out on October 14. Each week brings a different local act, so the sound changes from one Wednesday to the next.
The series is part of The Trail Conservancy's Arts + Culture Plan for the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, an initiative to enrich the community by empowering local artists and amplifying diverse voices. It debuted in October 2020, with its inaugural month dedicated to Black musicians in Austin, and it continues to spotlight local artists while supporting Black Austin musicians. Performers are selected in partnership with a committee of local arts and entertainment influencers and experts.
