Mujer Manifesto Zine Volume 6: Metamorphosis Release Party & Group Exhibition

The Gallery ATX is hosting the release party for Mujer Manifesto Volume 6: Metamorphosis on Tuesday, July 28, at Moontower Cider Company, 1916 Tillery. It's a double-header of a night: the launch of the zine's sixth edition and a group exhibition that runs alongside it.

Mujer Manifesto is a zine that celebrates artists, writers, and makers who document the self in motion, and this volume is titled Metamorphosis. The exhibition takes that theme and runs with it, looking at the interior landscapes of change—the quiet shifts, the hard pivots, and the slow unfurling of who we're becoming. The prompt was left open, so the contributors interpreted it their own way: some through internal transformation, some through shifting perspectives, and some through the nonlinear work of becoming oneself. It's the kind of show where you can see a few different takes on the same idea side by side.

The exhibition brings together a wide range of voices. The lineup includes Ethan Isaiah, Sharon Shelton, Georgina Castro, Izzie O'Brien, PHBE GB, Gabrielle Clemente, Alena Marie, Gra4Binu, Maureen Flores, Malika Assilamehoo, Payton LaGrone, and Linda Wu. With that many people involved, the work should pull from a lot of different places, and DJ JO will be on the decks throughout the evening.

It all goes down at The Gallery ATX inside Moontower Cider Company, 1916 Tillery, from 7 PM to 9 PM. There's a suggested donation of $10.
