Outdoor fitness series with certified Zumba instructor Vivian Arreaza, bringing the community together through music and movement.
Vivian Arreaza is leading Morning Zumba at the Meredith Heritage Tree Deck in Waterloo Park, with sessions running on Saturdays from September 26 through October 10, 2026, starting at 9 AM. It's part of Waterloo Wellness, a series of free outdoor fitness and wellness programs run by Waterloo Greenway Conservancy, designed to bring Austinites together through movement, connection and time in nature.
Arreaza is a certified Zumba instructor, and the classes are built around easy-to-follow choreography set to upbeat Latin and international rhythms. The whole point is to get moving without needing to be a pro—you just follow along with the music. Because it's outdoors at the Tree Deck, you're doing it in the open air rather than inside a gym, which changes the whole vibe of a Saturday morning workout.
Waterloo Wellness is presented by Ascension Seton and supported by Delta Air Lines and Liquid Death. The Zumba sessions are just one part of a wider fall program that brings free wellness classes, cultural celebrations, public art and community gatherings to Waterloo Park and the surrounding Waterloo Greenway. If you're already hanging around the park for other things, this is a low-stakes way to add some movement to your morning.
