Moon Medallion - Tour Return Show

Moon Medallion are back at Kick Butt Coffee on Thursday, August 20, their first Austin date since returning from tour. They're bringing their psychedelic sound to one of the city's more unusual independent venues, where the music shares space with coffee, craft beer, wine, pizza and the spot's well-known breakfast bowls. The show runs from 8 PM to midnight, and it's open to all ages.

Moon Medallion isn't playing alone. They're sharing the bill with Karma 25, coming in from San Antonio, along with Calves and Stop Motion Orchestra. Between the four of them, the night covers psychedelic, indie and experimental sounds, so you'll hear a few different directions across the evening rather than one single mood. It's the kind of lineup that works well in a place like Kick Butt, where you can hang out over a drink and a slice of pizza before the music takes over.

Because it's an all-ages show, it's as easy to bring along younger friends as it is to come on your own. The music starts at 8 PM and goes until midnight, so there's plenty of room to settle in and hear everyone. Tickets are $10.
