A low-pressure, high-play creative session for makers of any level to experiment with journaling and collage, led by Mutual Misfits at Make at Rosie.
Mutual Misfits host another session of the Monthly Journaling & Collage Club at Make at Rosie on Monday, September 7, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a low-pressure, high-play evening where all the materials are provided, so you only need to bring your ideas and your curiosity. The organizers frame it as a welcoming space for makers of any level to experiment and connect, and many regulars treat it like a body-doubling session: accountability with friends and creative momentum. There's also a mini stationery swap, where people bring spare bits to trade.
Make at Rosie itself is a community makerspace built for women, nonbinary makers and allies, described as "kind of like a gym, but with crafty tools instead of workout equipment." The space houses fiber arts clubs, laser cutting, a woodshop, sewing machines, a Glowforge and a 3D printer, with free training for every tool. Membership starts at $45 a month, but these monthly meetups run with no membership required, so you can drop in without committing to the full shop. The session is held indoors, rain or shine.
