An improvised character extravaganza by Mo Collins where the audience is invited to wear wigs and provide suggestions for the show.
Mo Collins brings Mo Collins Is Wiggin' Out to ColdTowne Theater on Friday, October 16, at 8:30 PM. It's an improvised character extravaganza built on audience suggestions and wig choices, and the audience is invited to turn up in wigs of their own. If you've never seen her work, the whole thing is made up on the spot, so no two nights are the same.
Collins has made a career out of character work since 1999, when she joined Mad TV for six seasons and played Lorraine Swanson and Stuart's mother, Doreen. From there, she spent seven seasons on NBC's Parks and Recreation as the self-styled legendary newswoman Joan Callamezzo. She's also known for Lady Dynamite, her work on Arrested Development, and Gyna in The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
Her voice work is just as extensive. She earned an Emmy nomination in 2017 for her role on Netflix's F is For Family and has lent her voice to King of the Hill, Family Guy, and Invader Zim, and she takes over the role of Jimbo on The Simpsons. Beyond the screen, she's an accomplished painter as well as an improviser and stand-up.
