Michael McDonald performs live on his The Oneness Tour, with special guests The Doobie Brothers and Santana.
Michael McDonald brings The Oneness Tour 2026 to Moody Amphitheater on Tuesday, August 18, with Santana and The Doobie Brothers joining him on the bill. It's a heavy lineup for a Tuesday night in Austin, and it's one of the few times you'll see these names on the same stage.
McDonald is a singer-songwriter who spent years as a member of The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan before stepping out on his own. His solo work has a long reach: his Motown 1 and Motown 2 albums went Platinum and Gold, and he put out Wide Open in 2017. Having him share a bill with The Doobie Brothers brings that history full circle, since he was once a part of the band that's appearing here as a special guest.
Santana is on the bill as well, so the night pulls from a few different eras of West Coast rock and R&B. Between McDonald's solo records, his time with The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, and Santana's presence, there's a lot of ground covered in one evening. It's the kind of bill that works if you've followed any of these artists over the years.
