Mega Ran performs on the Austin Kiddie Limits stage at the Austin City Limits festival in Zilker Park.
Mega Ran is playing Zilker Park as part of Austin City Limits 2026, and he's doing it across two weekends. He'll be on the Austin Kiddie Limits stage on Saturday, October 2 and Sunday, October 4, and then again on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11. All his sets run from 4:30 to 5:00 PM, so if you're heading in for the bigger names, he's an easy one to catch early in the day.
For those who haven't come across him, Mega Ran is the stage name of Raheem Jarbo, a Grammy-nominated teacher, rapper, and performer from Philadelphia. He's billed as arguably the world's most well-known video-game-influenced performance artist, and that's a good place to start. He once signed an unprecedented licensing deal with Capcom, and his high-energy, nerdy persona has taken him on world tours, to festivals, and into video-game tournaments. He's built a devoted following he calls 'Team Mega.'
Musically, he works across a few different worlds. His sound blends chiptunes, hip-hop, soul, and video game music, and he's not afraid to let the nerdy side of that take center stage. He also still teaches, and he describes every song and lyric as a lesson. It's that combination of a rapper's flow and a teacher's approach that gives his sets their own specific energy.
