A community gathering for audiophiles and creative collectors to trade physical media, featuring listening stations, analogue video art, and a film archiving pop-up.
Mediafest comes to the Windsor Park Branch Library this Saturday, August 15, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's a free community gathering for audiophiles and creative collectors, and the whole thing is built around trading physical media. You bring your records, tapes, CDs and other formats to swap, and there's a free table where you can pick up something new without giving anything away.
Beyond the trading, there are listening stations to hear what's on the table and interactive analogue video art to look at. The Texas Archive of the Moving Image will be there with a pop-up, which opens up a conversation about film and video archiving and gives you a chance to make your own videos with old-school AV club gear. The Austin Chronicle described the whole thing as keeping the spirit of the Nineties alive in Northeast Austin.

It's organized by 365 Things Austin, and it's free to attend. You'll find it at the Windsor Park Branch Library, part of the Austin Public Library system at 5833 Westminster, from 2 PM to 4 PM this Saturday.
