MeadowFest 2026 takes over Radio/East on Saturday, August 29, with a lineup that runs from 5:30 PM through midnight. The bill is led by Cimafunk, Chuwi, and Combo Chimbita, with Cure for Paranoia and Angélica Garcia also on the bill. It's a full evening of music that stretches well into the night.
To understand why this festival exists, you have to know who it's for. MeadowFest launched in 2024 in memory of Meadow Goodman, a 15-year-old Anderson High School student and aspiring musician who lost her battle with mental illness on August 12, 2023. She was the daughter of local musician Greg Goodman, and those who knew her remember her for her drumming, her compassion for people and animals, and her fierce sense of social justice. Her family turned that loss into action by starting the festival and the Meadow E. Goodman Foundation for Mental Health Awareness, which works to reduce the stigma around mental health and help prevent suicide among young people.
Since its start in 2024, the festival has supported the SIMS Foundation and Out Youth, two Austin nonprofits that provide mental health services and support for musicians, young people, and the LGBTQIA+ community. So when you buy a ticket, you're contributing to those organizations.
