If you haven't spent much time there, Cactus Cafe is one of the city's oldest acoustic traditions. It opened in February 1979 and has built a national reputation for showcasing acoustic acts from all over—local, regional, national, and international. Billboard once listed it as one of fifteen 'solidly respected, savvy clubs' across the country 'from which careers can be cut.'
