Marco Antonio Solís plays the Moody Center on Friday, July 24, at 8 PM. It's the opening night of his 2026 tour, which runs through the middle of October.
If you've never heard the name, Solís is one of the most important figures in the history of Latin music. His career as a ballad singer goes back five decades, starting in the 1970s when he co-founded the Mexican grupera band Los Bukis. They sold millions of albums and played to sold-out stadiums across the U.S. and Mexico. As a solo artist, he's won five Latin Grammy Awards for his work as a composer, arranger, producer, musician, and artistic director. He's put over 50 songs on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, with more than 10 of them hitting No. 1. Along the way, he's collaborated with major Latin artists like Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony, Marisela, Raphael, Lucero, and Rocío Durcal.
