A curated foodie and artisan experience with over 50 local produce and artisan food booths in the relaxed atmosphere of Springdale General.
Lone Star Farmers' Market is at Springdale General this Sunday, August 30, from 10 AM to 2 PM. It's a weekly thing, so if you can't make this one, it'll be back next Sunday in the same spot.
For those who haven't been, the market has been around for over 15 years, and it's grown into a curated foodie and artisan experience for Austin and the surrounding communities. There are more than 50 local produce and artisan food booths, so it's a good place to stock up on fresh ingredients and pick up something handmade while you're at it. The organizers describe it as more than just a farmers market, calling it "the best way to spend a Sunday in Austin."
That description points to the atmosphere as much as the food. It's set in the relaxed environment of Springdale General, with plenty of shaded tables and space to linger, and it's welcoming to families and pets alike. It's the kind of place where you can grab your groceries and then hang out for a while rather than just rushing through the list and heading home. If you're bringing the kids or the dog, you'll find plenty of room to settle in.
