BookPeople presents an author event with Liana Cincotti in conversation with moderator Sydney Applegate, celebrating the release of her novel Summer of Stars.
Liana Cincotti comes to BookPeople on Thursday, August 13, as part of their Summer of Stars series. The evening is a conversation between Cincotti and moderator Sydney Applegate, and it celebrates the release of her new book, Summer of Stars.
Cincotti is a bestselling author who lives in New England and works in marketing. She describes her writing as an effort to bring back the magic of iconic early 2000s romantic comedies, and Summer of Stars fits right into that. The story follows tennis superstar Luna Aldridge, whose reputation is ruined after a messy breakup. To repair her career, she fakes a relationship with Hollywood's golden boy Kieran Alexander—a summer of posing for cameras and red carpets that forces them both to question whether they can keep their hearts and their careers together.
Moderating the conversation is Sydney Applegate, an indie author of two romantasy titles and the host and creator of the bookish and pop-culture podcast Talk Wordy. The two will talk through the book, the characters, and the world Cincotti built around them.
