Parker Woodland and Blah Spa play the 29th Street Ballroom on Thursday, August 13, as part of the Let's Fund Good series. It's a double bill that puts two very different sounds on the same stage: Woodland brings power pop, and Blah Spa brings dance-punk chaos. The organizers describe it as a night that covers all the bases, and they're promising a dance floor you physically can't stop moving on.
Let's Fund Good is the summer series put on by Interplanetary Help Desk, and it's built around a specific goal: supporting Austin nonprofits. The series pairs six live concerts with six album parties, and across the whole thing, 100% of ticket sales go directly to the charities involved. When you buy a ticket, you get to choose which organization your money supports. The list of beneficiaries includes Austin Pets Alive!, Austin Sanctuary Network, Central Texas Food Bank, Keep Austin Beautiful, Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas, and the Young Women's Alliance.

Between the two acts, the night moves from Woodland's power pop over to Blah Spa's dance-punk, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered in one evening. The show is all ages, and it runs from 6 PM to 9 PM at the 29th Street Ballroom, 2906 Fruth Street, Austin, Texas 78705. Tickets are $10.
