Austin's legendary semi-annual shopping event with over 140 local boutiques offering end-of-season pricing on fashion, home decor, and art.
Le Garage Sale returns to the Palmer Events Center on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, for its 25th anniversary. It's one of Austin's oldest semi-annual shopping traditions, running twice a year in January and August, and this edition marks a quarter-century of bringing local boutiques and independent labels together under one roof.
Since 2001, the event has drawn fashion-conscious shoppers to a single venue where more than 140 local boutiques and independent labels set up shop. The draw is end-of-season pricing: new and excess inventory, overstocks, and end-of-season goods across fashion, home décor, art, and more. Over the two days, deeply discounted merchandise runs from clothes and accessories to home decor, and the vendors keep the money they make while clearing out their excess inventory. It's a bit of a double-sided thing—the shoppers arrive early for the best bargains, and the vendors get to move stock that would otherwise sit in a warehouse.
Beyond the racks, there's a social side to it. A DJ keeps the energy up, and there are cocktails and giveaways on site. It's less of a quiet browse and more of a high-energy atmosphere, with coffee and cocktails to keep you going as you work your way through the booths. If you're looking for a specific label, you'll find it here alongside a dozen others you might not have come for.

Both days run from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704. Admission is $12 per day, but there's a VIP Pre Shop on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11 AM for $25, which lets you get a head start on the racks before the general doors open.
