Latino Moonlight Serenades - Summer 2026 (20th Anniversary)

The Latino Moonlight Serenades are back at the Texas Rowing Center on Lady Bird Lake this summer, and 2026 is a big one: it's the event's 20th anniversary. The whole thing is built around the full moon, with four dates falling on full-moon Fridays: June 26, July 31, August 28, and September 25. Each night has its own name, and each brings a different band to the water.

If you've never been, here's how it works. You head out from the Texas Rowing Center by kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard and paddle to a quiet cove on the lake. Once you're there, local musicians play live Latin serenades under the full moon, with the Austin skyline glowing in the background. When the music stops, the night carries on with dancing. It's family-friendly, and kids and dogs are welcome, so it's as much a group outing as it is a night out.

The 2026 lineup follows the moon cycle. June 26 is the Strawberry Moon, with Frederico 7 on the water. July 31 is the Buck Moon, and The Latin Dukes take over. August 28 is the Sturgeon Moon, with Kiko Villamizar playing. And September 25 is the Harvest Moon, when The Latin Dukes return for a second night. If you can only make one, you've got four different moons to choose from.

Check-in starts at 6:15 PM, and everyone launches at 7:00 PM. It's $10. Advanced reservations are recommended, though walk-ups are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. And if it rains, your reservation transfers automatically to the following month.
