A free Austin-themed trivia night with six rounds, hosted by Taylor Wallace, with prizes for the top teams.
KUT is bringing an Austin-themed trivia night to The Hole in the Wall on Wednesday, September 30, as part of their ATXplained project. The night is hosted by Taylor Wallace of KUTX 98.9, and it's built around six rounds of trivia, with visual and audio rounds mixed in. Teams are limited to six members, so you'll want to gather a small group before you head over.
To understand the night, it helps to know what ATXplained is. It's a crowdsourced reporting project run by KUT News: the audience submits the questions they want investigated and votes on them, and if one is chosen, a KUT News reporter sets out to answer it. This trivia night turns that same formula into a competition, with the questions all centered on Austin. The top three teams walk away with prizes, including tickets to the next ATXplained Live show, which is scheduled for December 9 at the Bass Concert Hall.

It's a free event, so you don't need to worry about a cover charge. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the trivia kicks off at 7 PM, which gives you a half-hour to get your team settled and grab a drink before the first round starts. You'll find it at The Hole in the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe St., Austin, TX 78705.
