Austin has long called itself the Live Music Capital of the World, and this amphitheater is part of that, bringing entertainment to the Central Texas region. It's one of the larger outdoor spots in the city, and since it's an open-air venue, the August heat will be a factor—keep that in mind when you're planning your day.
