BMI Monthly Acoustic Lounge featuring Kerri Lick, an emerging Texas blues and Americana songwriter.
Kerri Lick plays the Saxon Pub on Wednesday, October 7, as part of the BMI Acoustic Lounge. It's a monthly songwriter series that brings local singer-songwriters into intimate venues, and this Austin edition is billed as a Country/Singer-Songwriter showcase.
Lick is a Texas-based singer-songwriter whose sound blends roots rhythm and blues with Americana. She's been recognized as an emerging act in the Texas music scene, supported by some of the state's staple brands. When she talks about where she's coming from, she points to Bobby Gentry, Susan Tedeschi, and Bonnie Raitt—three artists who each carved out their own space in roots and blues music.
She's performed material from her freshman blues album, Baptized, and her first single, "Life Long Lone Star," hit Texas radio in early March 2024. A sophomore album is reported to be on the horizon, so this is a good time to catch her while she's still an emerging name in the local scene.
