Concert by Austin honky tonk artist Kathryn Legendre at Sam's Town Point.
Kathryn Legendre plays Sam's Town Point on Wednesday, August 26, starting at 10 PM. A native Texan and a fixture of the Austin music scene, she plays her own brand of original honky tonk, and this is a headlining slot with her as the sole bill.
Her catalog goes back a fair way. She put out her debut album, Old Soul, in 2013, followed by the Don't Give A Damn EP in 2016 and the Making It Up EP in 2019. In 2020, she released the singles "One Long Sad Song" and "Waiting In Line," and then her full-length album Here's Your Honky Tonk arrived in June 2025. Between the early records and the newer material, there's plenty to pull from for a single set.
That honky tonk sound has earned her some recognition along the way. She picked up Honky Tonk Female Ameripolitan nominations in 2020 and 2023, and a nomination for Best Country Artist at the Austin Music Awards in 2021. In 2023, she played the lineups of Two Step Inn, Stagecoach, and the ACL Music Festival, so she's as comfortable on a festival stage as she is in a room like this.
