Karima Santi & Smooth Nature Live

Karima Santi and Smooth Nature play Vintage Bookstore & Wine Bar on Saturday, September 12, from 12 PM to 9 PM. The show celebrates the release of Santi's concept album Royale, and it's billed as her last Austin performance before she heads to New York City to start an East Coast tour.

Royale is a casino-themed record, and the show carries that theme into the room. The audience is invited to place bets, and decks of cards with hidden messages are part of the evening. There are interactive activities and chances to win prizes, so it's more of a full afternoon than a standard set. The music comes from Santi and Smooth Nature, and the whole thing runs from noon until 9 PM, which gives you plenty of room to come and go as you like.

Vintage Bookstore & Wine Bar is at 1101 E. 11th in East Austin. It's an all-ages room with open seating, and the bar serves wine, coffee, and light bites. Tickets are $10.
