Josh Thomas - Jiggle, Jiggle

Josh Thomas brings his stand-up show Jiggle Jiggle to the Paramount and Stateside Theatres on Friday, September 11, as part of the Moontower Comedy Presents series. If you recognize the name but can't quite place it, you've probably seen his work on screen rather than on a stage.

Thomas first made a name for himself in Australia as the youngest winner of Raw Comedy, the national competition run by the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Two years later, he earned a nomination for Best Show at the same festival while still in his teens. Most of his wider recognition comes from Please Like Me, the series he wrote, starred in, and co-executive produced, which aired on Pivot and Hulu in the US, the ABC in Australia, and Netflix globally. The show picked up AACTA and Australian Writers Guild awards, along with Logie and AACTA nominations, and won Best Comedy at the AACTA Awards and Most Outstanding Comedy at the Logie Awards. It also earned an International Emmy nomination.

Since then, he's created and starred in Everything's Gonna Be Okay and launched the podcast Josh Thomas and Friends and You. He returned to stand-up in 2020 with the tour Whoopsie Daisy, and Jiggle Jiggle is his latest live show. It's being presented by Moontower Comedy, which has been bringing a steady stream of touring acts to Austin's comedy scene.
