Jimbo's 'Joan! Can We Laugh?!' Tour (A Parody)

Jimbo is bringing his live comedy show to Cap City Comedy Club on Wednesday, November 4, as part of the Joan! Can We Laugh?! Tour. If you know him from RuPaul's Drag Race, you've seen the drag, but this is a different kind of night: he's billed as a parody, and he's performing as Jimbo the Drag Clown.

That title tells you a good bit about what to expect. Jimbo has always leaned into the clown side of drag—the makeup, the exaggerated expressions, the physical comedy—and this tour puts that front and center. Instead of a traditional drag show with lip-syncs and runway looks, this is a stand-up comedy set. The Joan! Can We Laugh?! title is part of that parody framing, and the whole thing is built around his persona as a drag clown rather than a drag queen in the usual sense.

It's a one-night stop in Austin, so if you're planning to go, you'll want to mark the calendar early. The show is at Cap City Comedy Club, located at 11506 Century Oaks Terrace, and it starts at 7:30 PM. It's a Wednesday night, so it's a mid-week outing rather than a weekend one. If you've followed his work since Drag Race, this is a chance to see him do a full set of live comedy on his own terms.
