Jana Pochop

Jana Pochop plays the Holiday Inn Austin-Town Lake on Wednesday, September 23, as part of the SouthWest Regional Folk Alliance 2026. It's a solo bill, with Pochop as the only name on the program.

If you haven't come across her yet, Pochop is an Austin-based singer-songwriter who moved here from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she earned a degree in history from the University of New Mexico. She started out as an independent artist and later formed the folk-pop duo onetwothreescream with producer Mark Addison, who worked on her 2018 EP Lit. Since then, she's released three solo EPs and the 2020 single "Oh My Heart," which she recorded entirely on her own.

She's a regular in the local scene, having opened for and worked with Texas artists like Susan Gibson, Terri Hendrix, and Michael O'Connor. In 2019, she started the Midweek Modern Troubadour, a Wednesday songwriter series she hosts at Threadgill's. Outside of the music, she runs a musician-consulting business called Social Thinkery. (And for the record, the 'h' in her name is silent.)

This show is part of the SouthWest Regional Folk Alliance 2026, so it's one of several folk-focused dates happening around the city that week. The set is at 7 PM at the Holiday Inn Austin-Town Lake, 20 N IH-35 Service Rd.
