Concert by Texas Hill Country singer-songwriter Jamie Lin Wilson at the Saxon Pub in Austin.
Jamie Lin Wilson plays the Saxon Pub on Saturday, August 15, with her full band. It's a Texas Hill Country set from a songwriter who's spent her career moving between groups and her own records.
Wilson grew up in Sealy, Texas, and picked up the guitar in college. She cut her teeth touring with The Gougers before finding harmony in the all-female group The Trishas. Since then, she's put out two solo records, Holidays & Wedding Rings (2015) and Jumping Over Rocks (2018), both noted for their raw honesty. Between the songwriting and the festival stages, she's raising four kids in D'Hanis, Texas.
Critics have called her one of the most genuine voices in modern Americana, a cornerstone of the Texas songwriting community, and a masterful lyricist whose storytelling is vivid, heartfelt, and unflinchingly honest. That's the kind of writer who fits the Saxon Pub—someone who lets the songs do the heavy lifting.
