Blues artist J. Plank performs live with The Resentments at the Saxon Pub.
J. Plank is back at the Saxon Pub on Sunday, November 8, playing with The Resentments. If the name sounds familiar, it's because he's a regular thereโhe holds down a weekly gig at the Pub with the band, so this is more of a homecoming than a one-off.
J. Plank is the stage name of Jeff Plankenhorn, a blues artist and singer-songwriter who hails from Campbell River, British Columbia. He's put in time playing across Texas, Oklahoma, British Columbia, and Hawaii, and he's also performed at the Livingston Songwriter Festival. He once co-hosted the radio show Texas Radio Live with David Arnsberger and still plays on it at least once a year.
On stage, he's joined by his young songwriting and guitar-slinging pal Jack Barksdale and Michael O'Connor, known as MOC. With The Resentments behind him, the set sits in the blues tradition he's built his name around, and since he's a regular at the Saxon, it's a good chance to catch him on his home turf.
