It's Only Rock & Roll, Baby!

Chad Pope, Danny B. Harvey, and Dead Lions are all on the bill at Kick Butt Coffee Music & Booze on Thursday, August 13. The night is called It's Only Rock & Roll, Baby!, and it brings together three acts across rock, roots, and original music. Pope opens at 8 PM, Harvey follows at 9 PM, and Dead Lions take over at 10 PM.

Kick Butt Coffee is one of Austin's longest-running independent live music venues, and the room itself is the creation of the city's renowned Tai Chi and Kung Fu master, Thomas Gohring. It's built a reputation on mouth-watering fare and a relaxed atmosphere where you're as likely to bump into artists, musicians, and poets as you are entrepreneurs, office workers, and locals. The venue serves locally roasted coffee, craft beer, cocktails, and food, and the show is open to all ages.

Doors open at 7 PM, so there's plenty of time to grab a drink or a bite before the music starts. With the sets spaced an hour apart, you can catch all three acts in one night. It's a $10 cover.
