Imagine Art's 30th Birthday Bash!

Imagine Art is turning 30, and they're celebrating with a birthday bash at their space on Tillery Street this Wednesday, September 30. It's the finale of a month of four special events they've staged throughout September to mark the milestone. The nonprofit describes itself as a party every day of the year, so a birthday bash fits the brand.

There's a few things to do while you're there. You can leave your mark on the Story Wall, create and design your own birthday hat, and then sit down to a community feast of birthday dinner and cake. It's a party in the most literal sense—food, cake, and people hanging out together.

Imagine Art also serves as an Austin host site for Come To The Table, a national event co-hosted with Live+Make resident Clinton Scroggins. That one launched in October 2025, when around 40,000 believers gathered at The Mall in Washington DC, and it's since expanded to host sites across the country. If you're into that, this is one of the local spots where it lives.

If you have extra time, the gallery exhibition The Many Colors of Our Palette is running from August 21 through October 30, so you can catch it before it closes. The birthday bash itself runs from 6 PM to 8 PM at Imagine Art, 1127 Tillery St, and it's free and open to everyone in the community.
