Special IMAX re-release of the horror film Hereditary, directed by Ari Aster, with Toni Collette, as part of the Paramount Theatre's Panic horror series.
Hereditary is coming to the Bullock IMAX Theater on Monday, October 26, as part of the Paramount Theatre's horror series, Panic. It's a special IMAX re-release of Ari Aster's 2018 feature debut, and it's being billed as a film best seen on the biggest screen in Texas.
If you haven't seen it, Hereditary is a domestic horror drama that pushed the genre into chilling new terrain. It runs 127 minutes and stars Toni Collette, Milly Shapiro, Gabriel Byrne, and Alex Wolff. This particular screening is part of Panic, the Paramount's fifth annual horror series, which the venue calls the spookiest show in town.
The venue is the Bullock IMAX Theater, housed inside the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum at 1800 Congress Ave. It's Austin's only IMAX theater: a 400-seat, fully accessible room with a projector capable of both 2-D and 3-D, and one that can run special films on a movie-quality 35mm projector. The lobby carpet incorporates native Texas flora, and the cinema has its own separate entrance, so it can open in the evenings and with extended weekend hours while the museum is closed.
