Live music performance by Henry Invisible at Guero's Taco Bar in Austin.
Henry Invisible plays Guero's Taco Bar on Friday, August 21, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a single-bill night, so he's the only one on the program.
Guero's is a South Congress institution that's been around since the old Austin Seed & Feed building it occupies was converted into a restaurant. It's one of those spots that's grown into a city landmark without losing its focus on the food, and it's known for pairing live music with Tex-Mex. Over the years it's picked up a fair share of Best of Austin awards, including a Critics Pick for Best Chicken Taco back in 1994. If you're coming early, there's an oak garden where you can have breakfast.

For the show itself, the set runs from 6 PM to 9 PM, so it's an early evening rather than a late-night thing. There's no cover, which makes it an easy one to drop into without much planning. You'll find Guero's at 1412 S. Congress, right in the thick of South Congress, so it's easy to get to and easy to hang around before or after.
