Austin band Hardproof performs two sets of Afrobeat and Funk at Sahara Lounge.
Hardproof are playing Sahara Lounge on Sunday, August 30, for an early evening of afrobeat and funk. It's a matinee show, so it starts while it's still light out rather than running late into the night.
The band is playing two sets across the evening, one at 6 PM and another at 7:30 PM. The music they're bringing is afrobeat and funk, and they'll be working through both styles over the course of the two sets. Since it's a matinee, you can get in, catch the music, and still be home for dinner, or stick around for both sets and make a real afternoon of it.

Sahara Lounge is at 1413 Webberville Road. Doors open at 5 PM, so you've got an hour to get settled before the first set kicks off at 6 PM. The second set follows at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16.
