Punk band Guzzlr live with Andrew Cashen & His Disciples, Club Coma, and Alexi 8bit at the Mohawk venue.
Guzzlr headline Mohawk on Friday, September 25, with Andrew Cashen & the Disciples of Creation, Club Coma, and Alexi8bit. It's a four-band bill presented by Mohawk and 101x Homegrown, and it's open to all ages.
Guzzlr is a four-piece punk band from right here in Austin. They've built a reputation on a heavy, nasty sound that's earned them the label of Texas's premiere 'cumcore' group. If you've caught them before, you know the kind of noise they bring to the stage. They're the main feature of the night, and they're sharing the bill with Andrew Cashen & the Disciples of Creation, Club Coma, and Alexi8bit, so it's a full evening of punk and loud guitars.
The show is at Mohawk Indoor, 912 Red River St., in the heart of the Red River district. Mohawk is a multi-level anchor of the area and a regular winner of Best Live Music Venue in the Austin Music Poll. Its spacious outdoor stage is ringed by balconies with good sight lines and sound, and the venue also has multiple bars and a cozier indoor performance space. Over the years, it's hosted outsized SXSW appearances by acts like the Stooges, the Specials, and X. The room belongs to the 912 Red River district, whose mission is to foster and preserve a community of friends, artists, and industry personnel representing all music tastes and walks of life.
