Chef Jam invites Austin chefs to create rotating fall ice cream sundaes at Gati, available through Halloween.
Gati is kicking off a new series of guest chef ice cream sundaes starting Tuesday, September 1, and it's one that stretches well into the fall. The whole thing comes from Chef Jam, who's inviting several of her Austin chef friends to collaborate on elaborate sundaes that rotate every two weeks through Halloween. If you've been following Gati's desserts, this is the follow-up to those summer mango sticky rice sundaes that did so well over the last few months.
Each sundae is finished with custom homemade toppings made specifically for the series, so you're getting something a bit more involved than your standard scoop and a cherry. Because the flavors rotate every two weeks, the menu changes as the season does, and you can keep coming back to try different ones throughout the autumn. The sundaes are available at both Gati locations, so you can grab one wherever you happen to be.
There's also a specific date to keep on your radar: Gati is planning a birthday cake sundae for October to mark the shop's 6-year anniversary. Between that and the rotating guest chef collaborations, the menu should keep shifting all the way through the end of the series.
