Live performance by the psych-garage rock band Grocery Bag at the Mohawk venue in Austin.
Grocery Bag are playing Mohawk on Friday, October 23. It's a single-bill night, so they're the only act on the marquee.
If you're not familiar with them, they're a psych-garage rock band, and that's pretty much the whole story here. The psych side brings the fuzz and the drift, the garage side keeps it raw and loud, and the two together land right in the middle of the sound they've built. It's the kind of music that works as well in a small room as it does on a record, and Mohawk's indoor stage is exactly that kind of room.
Since they're the only band on the bill, the set is all theirs. You'll get the full run of what they do without any openers to warm up the room first. If you've been following them, it's a good chance to hear the songs you know in a live setting; if you're coming in cold, it's a straightforward way to get a feel for how they sound when they're actually playing.

Doors open at 7 PM, and the show is scheduled for 8:30 PM, so there's plenty of time to get in and settle before they take the stage. It's a Friday night at Mohawk, and Grocery Bag is the only name on the bill.
